Printed notices on a postcard with a 1cent stamp with integral postmark, 5 1/8 x 3 inches to the City Marshall at Belleville, Illinois, dates vary from 1878 thru 1882. Reading such as: One Hundred Fifty Dallar Reward Stolen From My Pasture Near Lovington Moultrie County, Illinois A Very Bright Bay Horse Black Mane and Tail with a dark spot on right jaw. One Hundred Fifty Dollars Will Be Paid For the Recovery of the Horse and the Capture of the Thief, etc. Batch of 64 individuals postcards such as this with description of the horses stolen, etc. Belleville is located in St. Claire, Illinois, not far from St. Louis, Missouri.
